Decatur, AL : Athens woman killed in two-vehicle crash on Friday, 4th November 2016

A two-vehicle crash Friday killed an Athens woman, according to state troopers.

Brittany Renee Millican, 26, of Athens, died when the 2007 Kia in which she was a passenger was struck by a 1999 Chevrolet truck driven by Joyce Hall, 75, of Athens, Alabama troopers spokesman Curtis Summerville said in a statement.

The crash occurred at 8:14 a.m. on Johnson Road, 4 miles north of Athens.

Millican was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, Summerville said.

Hall, along with the driver of the Kia, were both transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

State troopers continue to investigate.
