ATTLEBORO, MA : Providence man, Brown University graduate student killed in crash on Route 95 on Thursday, 17th January 2019

Two people — a Providence man, and a Brown University graduate student — were killed and three were injured in a crash early Thursday morning on Route 95 south here, the Massachusetts State Police said.

Sean St. Louis, 28, of Providence; and Maryori Conde, 23, of Los Angeles, were killed in the crash, the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said.

Troopers responded at about 1:25 a.m. to the crash, south of Exit 3. Police said St. Louis was driving a Kia Soul in the right travel lane when he lost control, swerved and rear-ended a Hyundai, trapping passengers in the backseat of that car, the state police said. The Kia was traveling quickly, police said.

St. Louis was pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the only one in that car.

Five people were in the Hyundai at the time, including backseat passengers who were trapped by the crash. One of them, identified as Conde, was pronounced dead at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
