Huntington, NY : Woman dies in single car crash after she lost control of her vehicle on Friday, August 28 2015

Authorities say a woman has died in a single car crash after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a wooded area.
The accident happened at 6:25 p.m. on Friday in Huntington on the North Shore of Long Island.
Police identified the woman as 80-year-old Eugenia Kouwenhoven, of Huntington. She was transported by helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities said Kouwenhoven was driving a 2014 Buick Regal westbound on Woodbury Road when she lost control and crashed.
Police are continuing to investigate.
