Bethel, MO : Man injured in motorcycle crash on Route E 3 1/2, northeast of Bethel on Friday night, July 15, 2016

A Bethel man was injured Friday night when he was thrown from his motorcycle.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Devon E. Patchin, 45, was traveling south on Route E 3 1/2 miles northeast of Bethel at 6:25 p.m. when the 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was driving left the left side of the road and overturned, ejecting him. He was taken by Air Evac to University Medical Center in Columbia with moderate injuries. A report said he was wearing a helmet and that his motorcycle was a total loss.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
