KENNEBEC COUNTY, ME : Crash closes portion of Route 139 in Kennebec County on Wednesday, 8th May 2024

Emergency officials have responded to the scene of a crash on Waterville Road in Unity Township.

As of 12:30 p.m., the road, also known as Route 139, was expected to be closed for "a few more hours" for crash reconstruction, Kennebec County Sheriff's Office Lt. Chris Read told NEWS CENTER Maine.

Officials encourage drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
