Missoula, MT : One man killed in car crash in in Sanders County on Friday afternoon, January 30, 2015

One man died in a Sanders County car crash Friday afternoon in Plains on River Road West.

The Montana Highway Patrol tells us the man was killed after his vehicle went off the road, hit a tree and then caught fire.

The victim was in his 30's and may have been driving too fast. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Authorities say road conditions were dry, but there was lots of gravel on the roadway.
