Providence ,RI : One woman charged afer state trooper and Department of Transportation worker injured after Crash on Friday ,May 8th 2015

State police say a drunken driver was responsible for multiple accidents in a highway construction zone in Providence that injured a state trooper and Department of Transportation worker.

22-year-old Lauren Woodbridge of Cranston was charged with driving under the influence Friday.

The accident occurred in a construction zone on Interstate 95 near Exit 22 at 2:30 a.m. Police say Woodbridge crashed into a construction zone safety truck and veered into a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer overturned and landed partially on an occupied state police cruiser, which was pushed into the DOT worker.

Woodbridge, a trooper and the worker were hospitalized with minor injuries. Officials say Woodbridge will be arraigned after she is released from the hospital.

Woodbridge's response to the allegations isn't known. It's not clear if she has a lawyer.
