A traffic mess shut down part of Interstate 240 during the overnight hours on Tuesday.

As many as four vehicles were involved in a crash that happened late Monday night.

The accident shut down one lane of traffic of eastbound I-240 between the Poplar Avenue exit and Walnut Grove Road exit for a few hours.

The interstate reopened a little before 2 a.m. Tuesday. No one was seriously hurt.
