Salisbury, NC : SUV crashes with pick up, runs off I-85 into woods on Tuesday night, June 28, 2016

One person was hurt after a serious crash on Interstate 85 South Tuesday night.
It happened just before 7:00 pm near mile marker 67 in southern Rowan.
According to troopers with the State Highway Patrol, a woman driving a Kia collided with a truck that was pulling a small trailer. The Kia then ran off the road and down into the woods.
The driver was pinned in the vehicle until emergency workers were able to work to free the woman. The woman was taken by ambulance to NorthEast Medical Center.
I-85 was shut down for about twenty minutes but then reopened.
