Pineville, LA : Two women died and two other people injured in a three-vehicle wreck on Highway 107 on Sunday October 5th 2014

State police say two women died and two other people injured in a three-vehicle wreck on La. Highway 107 east of Pineville. Master Trooper Scott Moreau says 68-year-old Linda D. Zoubek, of Pineville, and 67-year-old Ethel D. Garrett, of Walker, died in Sunday's crash. Moreau says Zoubek was northbound on Highway 107 when she began to slow down to make a life turn. Moreau says a pickup driven by 57-year-old Norman K. McNeal failed to slow down and hit the rear of Zoubek's car. He says the crash caused the car to cross the centerline and collided with a second pickup that was southbound. Troopers say McNeal was not injured and the driver of the other truck suffered minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
