CHARLES TOWN, WV : Two people possibly killed in Charles Town crash on April, Monday 10th 2017

Jefferson County Sheriff Pete Dougherty said he believes two people were killed in a vehicle crash along U.S. 340 in Charles Town on Tuesday afternoon.
Dougherty said Tuesday night that a process server for his department saw the wreck in the area of the Adam Link Bridge near the intersection with Flowing Springs Road.
The driver of the vehicle lost control and flipped, ejecting one person, Dougherty said.
Dougherty said he believes the driver and another person was killed. Dougherty said a third person was in the vehicle, but he did not know about his condition.
The Charles Town Police Department handled the crash, which happened around 3:30 p.m., but officials with the department could not be reached Tuesday night.
A Jefferson County 911 spokesman said his agency was told that the police department would not be putting out a statement until today.
