CATAWBA COUNTY, NC : 1 dead in Catawba County motorcycle crash on Friday, 10th May 2024

A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Catawba County Friday night, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said it happened around 11:40 p.m. on Oxford School Road near U.S. 70.

A 2010 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling north on Oxford School Road, crossed the center line, drove off the left side of the road and overturned.

The driver of the motorcycle, Wesley Todd Crawford, 56, of Statesville, was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
