Milwaukee,WI : Teen arrested in hit-and-run crash that left woman dead on October, Thursday 5th 2017

A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested Thursday in connection with a deadly morning hit-and-run crash on the city's northwest side, a statement from police said.

The 7:50 a.m. crash near North 76th Street and West Appleton Avenue, caused when the driver of a Pontiac Sunfire ran a red light, left a 48-year-old woman dead, authorities said.

The male driver of the second vehicle suffered injuries that were said to not be life-threatening.

The driver of the Sunfire took off on foot after the crash, police said.
