Wooster, OH : Sheriff's deputy recovering from overnight crash on May 17, 2014

A Wayne County sheriff's deputy is recovering from injuries suffered in a crash overnight.

The crash left a deputy's vehicle mangled. Thankfully, he was not seriously injured.

Two deputies were responding to a call on Route 30, east of Madison Avenue, early Saturday morning.

A pickup truck driven by an Ashland man sped past the first deputy's car, then crashed into the back of the second deputy's car, sending both cars off the road, and flipping the truck.

Both drivers suffered only minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
