UGA student dies two days after motorcycle crash
A University of Georgia student died Thursday morning after he was hit by a car on his motorcycle Tuesday afternoon.Yong Kyu “Kevin” Nam, 23, hit a car backing out of a driveway as he was riding his Suzuki down North Peter Street Tuesday afternoon, Athens-Clarke County Police Public Information Assistant Hilda Sorrow told The Red & Black.Nam’s helmet came off as he was thrown from his motorcycle, Sorrow said. He was treated for head trauma and put on life support at Athens Regional Medical Center.The investigation is ongoing.Nam is the second UGA student to die this week.
