Garden City, ID : Nampa driver was drinking, speeding before crash on Wednesday, October 29, 2014
Garden City Police is investigating after a single-car crash on Chinden Boulevard near the fairgrounds around 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
The car swerved off of the road and struck a road sign, a power pole, and a concrete barrier.
An officer arrived at the scene just minutes after the crash occurred, and found a 21-year-old man kneeling next to the car.
The man, who is from Nampa, was taken to Saint Alphonsus' Medical Center in Boise. His injuries were not considered life-threatening. There is no word on his condition at this time.
Police say that alcohol and excessive speed likely contributed to the crash.
The crash is still under investigation. No arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed in this case.
