Columbus, OH : Two women killed in crash on Far South Side are identified on Monday, November, 6th 2017
Columbus police identified on Thursday two women who were killed Monday night when their car collided with a tractor-trailer on Route 23 on the Far South Side.
Donna Marie Hawkins, 49, of the South Side, and Naomi Page Martinez, 18, of Campbell, near Youngstown, died at the scene of the crash in front of a BP service station on Route 23 — also known as South High Street — just south of Interstate 270 around 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Hawkins was driving a Chevrolet Cavalier and exited the BP station to head north on Route 23 when she pulled into the path of a southbound tractor-trailer driven by Thomas Addy, 45, of Lockbourne, Ohio, according to the Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit.
The women were the 54th and 55th reported fatalities in motor-vehicle crashes in Columbus this year.
