Prescott,AZ : Motorcyclist killed in crash in Wilhoit on may, thursday 11th 2017

A motorcyclist was killed on May 5 when a car pulled out in front of a group of riders on Highway 89 in Wilhoit, Department of Public Safety Capt. G. R. Manera said.

The motorcycle was one of three headed southbound on Highway 89 at about 9:50 a.m. when a car turned in front of them from Donegal Drive.One rider was able to avoid the car, but a second lost control and was thrown off the bike.

A third cycle hit the second rider on the road.

Manera said the second rider, Nancy Roberge, 45, of Quebec, Canada, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, which did not contact the motorcycles, will be cited for failure to yield to on-coming traffic, Manera said.

He added that Roberge was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
