Escondido, CA :2 killed in head-on crash on Interstate 15 on Saturday, June 20th 2015

A head-on crash near Escondido killed two people early Saturday morning.The crash occurred just after 3 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near the Gopher Canyon off-ramp.According to the California Highway Patrol, a male driver of a Honda Civic was traveling north in the southbound lanes and hit a woman driving a Mercedes head-on.Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The woman has been identified as Barbara Lynn Astorga, 57.The CHP reopened all lanes after completing their investigation
