Canton,OH : Two-vehicle crash fatal for Wooster woman on March, Thursday 22nd 2018

A 66-year-old Wooster woman was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 30 and Smyser Road in Wayne County’s Wooster Township.

Carol Kostohryz was driving a Chevrolet Equinox south on Smyser Road shortly after 11 a.m. when she paused at the intersection with Route 30, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol. She pulled out from the stop sign and into the westbound path of Charles Sampsel, 62. of Seville, who was driving a Freightliner Conventional truck, according to state troopers.

The Freightliner struck the side of the car Kostohryz had been driving. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Sampsel was not injured. The crash was just west of Wooster.
