Marion, NC : 3 injured in Marion collision on February, Monday 19th 2018

At approximately 11:56 a.m. Monday, emergency units from Marion Fire Department, McDowell EMS, McDowell Rescue Squad and the Marion Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Sugar Hill Road and Rankin Drive. The driver of the tan-colored Volvo, Austin Patrick of Marion, claimed that he was traveling past the intersection with a green light when a black Ford Explorer coming from Rankin Drive pulled out in front of him. Three passengers in the black Ford, whose names were not available for Monday’s deadline, were transported to McDowell Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Emergency Services Director William Kehler.
