Ocala, FL : 25-year-old woman died after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, July 2, 2016

A 25-year-old Ocala woman died Saturday after a two-vehicle crash.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers have identified the deceased as Rochelle Gainey.

A second woman, identified as K. Peck Sells, 72, also of Ocala, the driver of the second vehicle, was injured, officials said.

FHP authorities said a 1998 Ford SUV driven by Sells, pulled out from the Ocala Drive-In movie theater at 4850 S. Pine Avenue to cross the southbound lanes of U.S. 441 to get to the center median.

While crossing, officials said the vehicle pulled into the path of a 1995 Acura, driven by Gainey, that was heading southbound of U.S. 441 in the left lane.

Officials said the Acura struck the left rear of the SUV.

Troopers said they were called at 4:01 p.m., and Gainey died at 7:46 p.m. at Ocala Regional Medical Center. Sells also went to ORMC for treatment.
