HONCUT, CA : ATV rider dies after crashing into tree in Honcut on Monday, 9th July 2018

A motorist was killed over the weekend after crashing into a tree and being thrown from the all-terrain vehicle she was riding in Honcut, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.

The motorist was discovered dead Saturday in a prune orchard in the area of Lower Honcut Road and Washboard Lane, officers said. It was not clear, however, when the accident actually happened.

The motorist’s name was not available because officials have not yet positively identified her.

The CHP said the motorist appeared to have been riding a four-wheeler and did not take a curve properly. She then crashed into a tree and was ejected from the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries.
