Bullhead City, AZ : Two people were injured in a a two-car collision at Bullhead Parkway On Thursday, June 30th, 2016
Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a two-car collision on the Bullhead Parkway.
Emergency crews responded at about 4:20 p.m. to a report of a multi-car accident in the intersection of Bullhead City Parkway and Laughlin View Drive. Because of traffic that had pulled over shortly after the wreck, at least one
caller told authorities that it appeared five vehicles had been involved.
When responders arrived, they determined that only two vehicles were involved; the others belonged to people who were trying to render assistance.
A 30-year-old woman, the driver of a red passenger vehicle, attempted to make a left turn from the northbound turn lane on the Parkway west onto Laughlin View Drive, said Bullhead City Traffic Officer Steve Osborne. A 44-
year-old man, the driver of a blue Toyota Corolla, was unable to stop in time and the cars collided in the intersection. The female driver was ticketed for failure to yield.
Neither driver was identified early in the investigation.
The female driver was taken to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center with complaints of head and neck pain, said Bullhead City Fire Department Battalion Chief Don Evans. Her 6-year-old daughter suffered no injuries in a
properly installed car seat in the vehicle’s back seat.
The child’s grandmother picked her up from the site, Evans said.
The male driver was also taken to WARMC with neck, head and chest pain, Evans said.
No further information on the drivers’ medical condition was available.
Southbound traffic was routed around the crash for about an hour.
