Moorhead,MN : Man injured in rollover crash south of Moorhead on August, Friday 18th 2017

One man was injured after his vehicle swerved off a gravel road and rolled into a field.

The crash happened about three miles south of Moorhead around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Clay County Sheriff Bill Berquist said the car was driving south when it went off the road and rolled.

The driver was pulled out and taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Berquist says speed was a factor and this incident serves as a good reminder to drive cautiously on gravel.

"Even though most gravel roads have the speed limit is 55 on most gravel roads, I wouldn't even go 55, because you never know when you can hit a spot where it's really loose," said Bill Bergquist of the Clay County Sheriff's Department.

The driver was wearing a seat belt.
