Columbus, OH : Suspected Drunk Driver Crashes Into Police Cruiser on Friday morning, January 23, 2015

Columbus Police were investigating a crash involving a police cruiser early Friday morning.

Officers say it happened around 12:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-270 near the 670 Exit in northeast Columbus. Police say two officers were in their car on the freeway when another vehicle hit them, causing damage to the cruiser.

The officers were able to detain the driver of the other car. That man was immediately put under arrest, suspected of driving drunk.

Police say the officers weren't seriously hurt, but they did receive medical attention.
