Etna,ME : Woman killed in Etna car crash on August, Friday 4th 2017

A woman is dead after a Friday car crash in Etna.Two vehicles collided on Route 2 just after 3 p.m., authorities said. Richard Lupo, 31, who was in the other car was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. He remained in the hospital as of Monday.

"It looks like a head on sideswipe impact, but again it's very early in the investigation. We are on the crest of a hill here. It's a wide-open road," Penobscot County Sheriff Troy Morton said.

A reconstruction team was called to the scene to try investigate the accident and clear the roadway of a great deal of debris.Route 2 was shut down for around four hours.
