Gladwin, MI : 19 year-old woman injured in vehicle crash on Thursday January 14 2016.
A 19 year-old woman from Hancock was injured in an automobile accident Thursday evening on South Mission Street near McDonald’s.
Mount Pleasant Police Officer Jeff Browne said the woman was a passenger in a vehicle driven by an 18 year-old man from Gladwin heading north and making a left turn into the McDonald's parking lot. A vehicle heading south stopped to wave them through when another vehicle in the rightmost lane collided with their car. The 2010 Chevy Silverado was being driven by a 34-year-old man.
He said he was driving about 35 mph when the accident happened. The woman was transported to McLaren Central Michigan, while neither driver suffered any injuries. The 18 year-old man was found to be at fault in the accident.
Browne said there was no evidence alcohol or other substances played a role in the crash.
