Waterbury, CT : Driver injured after truck lost control as he tried to pass a carin at Route 8 southbound On Saturday May 7th, 2016

A man driving a Coca-Cola truck lost control as he tried to pass a car on Route 8 southbound early Saturday, causing his tractor-trailer to land on its side facing the wrong way, state police said.

The driver, 35-year-old Eduart Tona of Waterbury, moved into the passing lane on the left, but had to slam on the brakes for a car in front of him that was driving next to the car he was trying to pass, police said.
