A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 in Lebanon killed two people and injured five others late Saturday night, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Passengers Jessica Taylor, 32, and Jonathan Lustre, 28, died in the wreck, which happened at 10:23 p.m. near the Murfreesboro Road exit at mile marker 238.
According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, driver Rebecka Lustre, 32, was heading west on I-40 in a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban when she lost control of the vehicle, swerving off and on the roadway before rolling over. The SUV landed on its roof in the middle of the roadway before the Murfreesboro Road exit.
Rebecka Lustre, of Elmwood, Tenn., was traveling with six passengers in the SUV. Taylor and Jonathan Lustre, both from Elmwood, were the only passengers not wearing seat belts according to the report.
The report says alcohol and drugs played a factor in the crash. Criminal charges are pending.
Rebecka Lustre and four passengers, all from Lebanon, sustained injuries. They were identified as Scott Isringhausen, 25; Patrick Hasting, 30; Martha Rogers, 32; and Nathaniel Sisk, 24.
