Three people died and another was hospitalized Saturday after an accident in Muskogee County.
Ashley Biggs, 24, of Muskogee and two other people, whose identities have not been revealed, died after two vehicles crashed around 4:45 p.m. on State Highway 16 just west of Muskogee, authorities said. Biggs was the passenger in a Mercedes, and the two other people were in a Chevrolet Avalanche.
The two people in the Avalanche died at the scene, and Biggs was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital, according to authorities.
Christina Biggs, 42, was admitted in critical condition to an area hospital, according to authorities. She suffered head, arm, leg, internal and external injuries.
Christina Biggs was driving the Mercedes.
The fatal accident occurred when the Avalanche drove into the eastbound lane and struck the Mercedes. The two vehicles came to rest and caught fire.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers are investigating the accident.
