Wichita, KS : Towanda couple injured in motorcycle-SUV crash on Saturday, 20th August, 2016
Two people were injured when their motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Butler County on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The Towanda couple was traveling south on Butler Road about 2 miles south of Rose Hill at about 2:45 p.m. when the SUV in front of them slowed to turn into a driveway, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The driver of the motorcycle was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear of the Hyundai Santa Fe. Robby Crank, 56, and Linda Crank, 54, were taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment.
Linda Crank was in critical condition on Saturday night, while Robby Crank is in fair condition, Wesley spokeswoman Susan Burchill said. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
