Beaumont, TX : Lumberton man dies in auto-pedestrian crash on Twin City Highway on Tuesday evening, February 14, 2017

A 29-year-old Lumberton man was hit and killed by a truck on Tuesday evening while trying to cross a Texas 347 in Jefferson County, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in a release.
Steven Ray Young was attempting to cross the northbound lanes near the intersection of Fourth Street when he was hit by a Ford pickup truck at about 7:15 p.m., Sgt. Stephanie Davis said.
Young was pronounced dead at the scene, Davis said.
Northbound traffic lanes on Texas 347, also known as Twin City Highway, near the Fourth Street intersection were closed until about 9 p.m. Tuesday, Davis said.
