A man and woman were hospitalized after a crash Saturday night near Raceland Raw Sugars, State Police said.
The two were standing in front of a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica that had broken down and was partially in the westbound lane of La. 182, Trooper First Class Jesse LaGrange said. The Chrysler had its lights and emergency flashers on, but a 2013 Volkswagen CC rear-ended it.
LaGrange said the Chrysler then struck the man and woman, who were airlifted to University Medical Center New Orleans with “minor to moderate injuries.” The Volkswagen driver was treated at Ochsner St. Anne Hospital in Raceland for minor injuries.
The crash occurred about 8:45 p.m., LaGrange said. One of the victims was the Chrysler driver, and the other was helping with the vehicle.
