Rochester, NY : 35-year-old Rochester resident injured after hit-and-run accident on Rochester bridge on Monday, February 23, 2015
State police say they're looking for the driver of a car that failed to stop after hitting a man walking on a bridge in the city of Rochester.
Troopers say the 35-year-old Rochester resident was walking around 7:45 p.m. Monday on Veterans Memorial Bridge, which carries state Route 104 over the Genesee River.
Police say a vehicle traveling in the eastbound lane struck the man and the driver fled the scene. The man was taken to Rochester General Hospital, where he's in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man told police that the vehicle that hit him was a white sedan. Vehicle parts were recovered at the scene.
