VERNON, NY : Man dies in head-on crash in Oneida County on Monday, 9th July 2018

A Vernon Center man died after a head-on crash Monday afternoon in Oneida County.

Jacob B. Ross was driving east on Skinner Road in Vernon at 5:13 p.m. when his 2015 Hyundai crossed into the westbound lane and crashed into an oncoming car, according to the New York State Police. The accident happened east of Potash Hill Road.

Ross, 27, was not wearing seat belt, troopers said.
