Grand Forks,ND : Girl injured in bike-car collision in Grand Forks on may, Saturday 13th 2017

A 12-year-old girl was injured Saturday evening when she was struck by a car while riding a bicycle in Grand Forks, according to a Grand Forks police report.

After Grand Forks police officers arrived on scene, she was taken by Altru Ambulance to Altru Hospital.


The accident occurred at about 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of South 10th Street and 17th Avenue.

The girl was riding south on her bicycle, crossing 17th Avenue South, when she was hit by a car driven by a 16-year-old boy who was driving west on that avenue. The intersection is controlled by stop signs for north- and south-bound traffic.

Names of the girl and boy are not being released because they are juveniles.

The Grand Forks Fire Department assisted on the call.
