BROCKTON, MA : 3 injured in Brockton crash on Wednesday, December 21st 2016

Three people escaped serious injury in a rollover crash Wednesday morning when two cars collided at the intersection of Hillberg Avenue and Echo Street in Brockton.

An Acura sedan collided with a Ford SUV around 7:30 a.m.

The SUV came to a stop on its roof with its windshield smashed and rear driver's side tire bent to the side.

The Acura had its front bumper torn off from the collision.

The driver and a passenger in the SUV and the driver of the Acura were all taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.

The intersection was closed temporarily while the victims were tended to and while the vehicles were towed. Both roads are now open.

A parked car also sustained damage from the crash.

Police were investigating the cause but believe one of the drivers ran a stop sign. No charges or citations had been filed as of Wednesday morning.
