Avon, MN : 1 injured in Avon collision on Wednesday, January 4, 2017
One person was injured Wednesday in a collision that occurred in Avon, according to a release from the Avon Police Department.
The release said a Chevy Blazer driven by Lindsey Urbashich, 21, of Holdingford, was northbound on Stearns County Road 9 near Fourth Street Northwest when her vehicle lost control, the release said. Police said while Urbashich was attempting to straighten out her vehicle she slid into oncoming traffic and collided with a Chevy Silverado driven by Daniel Beckius, 52, of Avon.
Police said Beckius was not injured.
Urbashich was not wearing a seat belt and suffered injuries. She was treated on scene by Avon Fire Department and Gold Cross, and was then flown to North Memorial Medical Center due to the extent of her injuries.
Police said the collision remains under investigation.
