KENT COUNTY, MI : Caledonia Township crash leaves mom and 17-month-old baby dead on Sunday, 10th November 2024

A mother and her 17-month-old baby are dead after a crash on Sunday morning in Caledonia Township, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Office.

Just after 10:30 a.m. deputies responded to a single-car crash on 84th Street, west of Thornapple River Drive.

KCSO said the preliminary investigation showed that the father, a 40-year-old man from Woodland, was driving a pickup truck westbound on 84th Avenue when his 36-year-old wife was tending to their baby in the backseat.
