Madisonville, KY : Two injured in I-69 accident on February, Wednesday 7th 2018
A St. Charles woman and a juvenile were injured in a late night two-vehicle accident on Interstate 69.
According to the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office, Martha McKnight, 62, of St. Charles was driving a 2013 Toyota Camry southbound "very slowly" in the left lane near the 117 mile marker around midnight Wednesday. Kathy Simms, 57, of Providence was also traveling southbound in a 2017 Toyota Camry and reportedly did not see McKnight's vehicle due to rainy weather conditions.
The front of Simms' vehicle struck McKnight's in the rear. McKnight and a juvenile passenger were taken by Medical Center Ambulance Service to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment of their injuries. HCSO was assisted by the Madisonville Fire Department and Madisonville Police Department.
