NEW BEDFORD, MA : New Bedford crash sends one to hospital, life-threatening injuries on Route 195 in New Bedford on Tuesday, 6th October, 2020

A man is in the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries following a crash on Route 195 in New Bedford.
Police say just before 4:30 p.m., a pick-up truck traveling westbound managed to spill debris into oncoming traffic.
That debris shattered the windshield of a Mazda Tribute traveling in the eastbound lane. The vehicle eventually struck the median barrier.
The driver of the Mazda, identified as a 69-year-old Rochester man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
The left lane was closed in the area of the crash to facilitate the rescue response.
All eastbound lanes were closed for the removal of the vehicle and were reopened at approximately 7:45 p.m.
No charges are filed at this time.
