JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL : 16-year-old arrested on outstanding charges after driving stolen vehicle, crashing into US Marshala on Wednesday, 14th February 2024

The U.S. Marshal’s Task Force, with the assistance the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, attempted to stop a vehicle that appeared to have been stolen from the Homewood area, leading authorities on a short pursuit.

The incident took place Wednesday, Feb. 14 around 11 a.m.

Officials say they attempted to stop the stolen vehicle on 20th Street in Ensley when it struck one of the task force agencies’ vehicles and continued to elude authorities.

The suspect’s vehicle continued for a brief distance onto I-59 South, where the damaged vehicle wrecked near mile marker 119.
