Ketchum,ID : Hailey mayor injured in cycling accident on October, Monday 23th 2017

Hailey Mayor Fritz Haemmerle sustained a broken pelvis and other fractures during a cycling accident while on vacation in Utah last weekend.

Haemmerle underwent a successful surgery Monday for the broken pelvis, said Hailey City Administrator Heather Dawson.

Dawson said Haemmerle was on a road bike with a friend near St. George, Utah, when a tire blew on his bike. She said he was going about 35 mph at the time of the accident.
