Highland County, OH : One woman dead and another man seriously injured after two cars collided on Thursday October 15 2015

One woman is dead and another man was seriously injured after two cars collided on Ohio 73 in Highland County Thursday afternoon.According to Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Stan Jordan, 61-year-old Carolyn Andrews, of Hillsboro, was pronounced dead on the scene after investigators said she veered left of the center line and struck 69-year-old James Olesevsky’s vehicle head on.
Olesevsky was transported to University Hospital Medical Center by helicopter with serious injuries.
Jordan said Andrews was wearing her seatbelt, but investigators said alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
According to the most recent Ohio State Highway Patrol data, Highland County has seen an increase in fatal crashes, with seven so far in 2015 — more than double what the county saw last year at this time.
