Atherton ,CA : 41-year-old East Palo Alto man arrested for DUI crash on Tuesday ,August 25th 2015

A 41-year-old East Palo Alto man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Tuesday after he crashed his pickup truck through a fence on Marsh Road and overturned into an adjacent channel.

The crash near the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue was reported around 11:53 p.m. Monday, said CHP Officer Art Montiel. Authorities briefly closed Marsh Road to traffic in both directions.

Responding officers found Antonio Rosales Paniagua with minor injuries. He was taken to the Stanford Emergency Department, where he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Marsh Road was reopened after Paniagua's 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was removed from the channel and barricades were set up, according to Atherton Public Works Director Steve Tyler.

Tyler said the fence would be repaired Wednesday.
