SIOUX CITY, IA : A semi driver died Tuesday evening in a single-vehicle accident in Sioux City on Tuesday, December, 12th 2017

A semi driver died Tuesday evening in a single-vehicle accident in Sioux City.

According to a press release from the Sioux City Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of 11th and Dubuque streets at 6:27 p.m., where a Kenworth semi truck and trailer were found. The semi driver is believed to have suffered a medical incident behind the wheel prior to the accident.

The driver was taken to Mercy Medical Center, and was pronounced dead there. The name of the driver is not being released by the police department at this time, and the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
