Orlando, FL : Woman struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Orlando on Sunday night, March 27, 2016

A woman has died after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Orlando on Sunday night, the Florida Highway Patrol says.

The crash happened just east of the intersection of Lee Road and Edgewater Drive just before 9 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses said the car that hit the woman was a gray or black Toyota Camry or Nissan Maxima with damage to its left front fender. A description of the other vehicle has not been released.
