Mesa ,AZ : 41-year-old Michael Orticelli killed in Crash after motorcyclist struck by one vehicle, then hit by another car before being thrown from the bike on Monday ,March 16th 2015

The area of Recker and McKellips in Mesa was closed as police investigated a deadly motorcycle crash on Monday.

According to fire department officials, the motorcyclist was struck by one vehicle, then hit by another car before being thrown from the bike. This ultimately led to significant trauma that resulted in 41-year-old Michael Orticelli's death.

"The cause of the accident is still under investigation and no citations have been issued. There were no signs of impairment in the accident," stated Steve Berry of the Mesa Police Department.
