BOWLING GREEN, KY : Bowling Green woman dies in car crash on Sunday, 2nd October 2016
A 26-year-old Bowling Green woman died after a crash on U.S. 6 in Wood County on Sunday afternoon, according to the Wood County sheriff’s office.
Megan Massey died in Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, where she was flown after the crash in Center Township.
She was driving a car east on U.S. 6 when it went left of center and struck the rear wheels of a westbound tractor-trailer, the sheriff’s office reported.
Just before that — at about 2:30 p.m., deputies had been called about reckless operation of a car on U.S. 6, east of Sand Ridge Road. One caller reported the car was all over the road and had almost caused a crash and others had called the sheriff’s office as well about the car.
A few minutes later, while deputies were on their way to the area, they were told the car in question had been in a crash east of County Home Road about three miles from Sand Ridge Road.
